Sunday 6th April 2008

Machine Knitting Show, Nottingham

A very enjoyable show meeting friends and familiar faces. The fashion show was well organized and Eileen Polkinghorne did a very good job of commentating.

Saturday 1st March 2008

Bournemouth Show

This show was well attended and very enjoyable. I had a small stall there for the first time (due to distance) and enjoyed meeting all the enthusiastic knitters that turned up. For the short time that I watched the fashion show, I thought it was a bit disappointing. The 'models' didn't go to the end of the room for everyone to look and 'feel' the garments; coming down the steps from the stage looked quite precarious too.

On the whole it was a good day and I hope all the stall holders did well.

Monday 3rd - 7th September 2007

Metropolitan Dream Week

I attended this year's 'Dream Week' and took my patterns and garments as requested.

The atmosphere was great at both the Metropolitan and the Alvaston Hall Hotel. I met many new people and made lots of friends. The designers' talks and 'hands on' demonstrations were very informative and I believe that a good time was had by all. The whole week was very well organised by the Metropolitan team; many thanks to Carol, Mark and their hard-working colleagues.
